ABOUT THE CURATOR:
Decibel is an organization that works year-round to bring quality
international and national electronic music acts to Seattle, while still
showcasing and encouraging local talent. After the resounding success of the
2005, 2006 and 2007 Decibel Festivals (10,000+ attendants in both 2006 and
2007) the Decibel organization is once again focusing their attention on
larger one-off events as lead up to the 2008 Festival.
For "Science Friction" Decibel will be providing the legendary KV2 sound
system and transforming the Youngstown dance studio into a "Disco
Laboratory" that reaches critical mass at midnight. You can expect the best
in maximal sonic dance grooves, including three past festival highlights
(Sutekh, Jacob London and Jerry Abstract).

ABOUT THE CURATORS:
Flight to Mars is a Seattle based arts organization, and a theme camp that
has been participating in Burning Man every year since 2001. They put
incredible amount energy into transforming an environment through
interactive multimedia sculptures and quality dance music.
Created in 2002, SunTzu are best known as torchbearers of the rising
brokenbeat scene. The crew's tireless efforts have made them an
indispensable mainstay in Seattle, where they regularly book and promote
top-shelf international talent and serve as the weekly hosts of Friday
night's City Soul on KBCS 91.3 FM. They were also recently nominated among
Seattle Weekly's "Best DJs of 2006" for their infectious club sets.

ABOUT THE CURATORS:
Founded is 2003, Shameless has played a major role in building up the now
thriving underground dance community in Seattle. Known for their wild
parties, attention to detail and raucous music, Shameless have developed a
loyal audience via their involvement with the Decibel Festival After parties
and the wildly popular "Broken Disco" monthly at Chop Suey.
Focusing on Hip Hop and more adventurous forms of electronic music,
Fourthcity have built up an arsenal of talent and fans through weekly club
events, promotional tactics and their own Fourthcity Record Label.
Fourthcity artist Truckasauras was recently feature in Seattle Sound
publication.

Beehive, where rock n roll meets breakbeat and electronica, or rocktronica for short, have been one of my favorite bands for a long time. Here's a TON of photos I have taken of them:
They are playing a FREE show at the Skylark Lounge. It is 21+, and a wonderful venue. If you're hungry, be sure to get their famous evil "disco tots". But I digress, FREE is a good price! I know quite a few folks coming early here, then wandering down to Youngstown. I hope you do too!

We know that many of you have other parties that you are already performing at/attending. Feel free to either show up early at our party and then head elsewhere or stop by after the other events. We'll be rocking until dawn and beyond.
We're throwing a significant amount of time and money into making this party awesome. We've decorated the entire house, built new furniture/chill spaces, will have a covered outdoor smoking area, keg/champagne/large liquor supply, etc. If you're interested in bringing a sound system, decorating, bringing food, or anything else… let us know! I also threw a paypal link up in case you're willing to throw down a few bucks to the fund. By no means are you required to donate – we want to see you regardless.
