[diem's list] Sequence Next Saturday....

I have been hard at work on this great project, and this is the last I
will talk about it here. If you want the directions or more info, you
must sign up for the outgoing announce only list at the link provided
below. I'm off for the weekend, have fun y'all.

BTW, this last Sequence post is okay to forward to lists if desired,
but please do not forward the final directions to any lists or websites.

Ill Communication --

Hello from the Dave2 and Boogie U.

The site is being prepped this weekend, from help from all over,
including our friends in Canada. The performers and talent are
incredible, and this is going to be one truly amazing time. Below we
have prepared a Q+A for you. Should you have more questions, use the
boards at the link below. This email here is the last email you may
forward to a list. Please sign up for the proper mailing list at: http://eventsequence.com/mailman/listinfo/paulrevere_eventsequence.com

or http://preview.tinyurl.com/4qlcys

We have setup a forum for rideshares and such here:
http://eventsequence.com/page5/page5.html

Here's a little Q+A:

Q - What time is the event?
A - Technically it is 9:14pm to 5:15am, or dusk to dawn. However, we
will be there all day setting up, and you may happily join us for the
PUNK ROCK BBQ at 7pm or so. We will have a grill and cook, bring your
own meat/stuff/veg. No bacon allowed on our grill, yo.

Q - What do I need to bring?
A - For those who want to camp, we recommend a tent and sleeping bag.
However, since this is a one night event camping is not necessary.

Q - What time should I arrive *if* I camp?
A - We would recommend 6pm at the latest to arrive. In the event area,
there is a *limited* amount of camping, however in the surrounding
areas there are plenty of nooks and crannies you will have to explore
on your own.

Q - Is the event free?
A - Indeed it is, however free events are not really free. If you feel
like we have "SEQ" oval stickers for sale for $5, or 3 for $10. Grab a
Dave if you would like one. We'd appreciate it. BTW, the stickers are
bad ass.

Q - Where is it?
A - it is approximately 128 miles or 2 1/2 hours north of Seattle,
and for Canadians, approximately 101 km or 1 1/2 hours (plus border
time).

Q - Can I bring an RV?
A- No way -- they won't fit.

Q - Is this child friendly?
A - Yes, but highly depends on the child. There are some dangerous
geographical aspects of the site, so supervision is recommended. If
you are a parent, and have concerns, feel free to contact us and we
can talk specifics.

Q - Can I bring a dog?
A - You can, but we prefer not. This event will contain elements that
might frighten dogs, so we don't recommend it.

Q - Bathrooms?
A - There will be one outhouse dugout. If you are an experienced
camper with a shovel and biodegradable TP that would work, too.

Q - What is LEAVE NO TRACE mean?
A - Leave no trace is one of the tenants of Burning Man: "Our
community respects the environment. We are committed to leaving no
physical trace of our activities wherever we gather. We clean up after
ourselves and endeavor, whenever possible, to leave such places in a
better state than when we found them." This site has some garbage we
have already started cleaning, and we ask everyone to help pick up a
little. We have extra trash bags, too, if you want to help clean.

Q - What is RADICAL SELF-RELIANCE?
A - Radical self-reliance is a Burning Man tenant as well: "Burning
Man encourages the individual to discover, exercise and rely on his or
her inner resources." This means nothing will be provided to you for
your health, safety, or existence. Want water? Bring it. Want to
sleep? Bring a tent. You should not count on your friends generosity
-- rely on yourself. Don't be a bliss bunny. You will be tagged and
shamed publicly.

Q - Can I bring performance or entertainment to the show?
A - Just like the burn, you are welcome to perform or bring your
special talent to the event. If someone wanted to head up AC/DC
waffles at 5:15am we'd really, really, really love you. No, we're not
kidding.

Q - What should we wear?
A - Whatever you want! Dress warm, and look fabulous should you desire.

and finally:

Q - WHEN ARE YOU SENDING US THE LOCATION?
A - Thursday morning July 3, here on this list. PLEASE, UNDER NO
CIRCUMSTANCES FORWARD THE LOCATION TO ANY LISTS. THIS WILL DESTROY THE
EVENT! If you want to forward to some friends, that's perfectly okay--
just NO LISTS.

End Communication.

[diem's list] new project and roommate help!

List time! It's been a while since I sent one, so hopefully you will
pay attention to this!

1) Sequence 01
2) Looking for housing? Roommate wanted! (not at my place :-) Live at
Stronghold!

***********************
from me:

I have started a project with inspiration of tales from LA in the
1980's. There was a collective group who produced events second to
none, with one very large caveat:

Not a single person attending the event actually knew what was going
to happen.

This has inspired the cacophonous part of me in many ways, and it also
has inspired Boogie Universal to help us in the madness.

Here's the release:
----------------------------------
This is a note to inform you of this upcoming event dave2 is producing
as our gift to the community. We realize there is a shroud of mystery
over the whole thing, and this is not unintentional. We have also
recently combined with Boogie Universal, and look forward to amazing
collaboration.

What you do need to know is that our mission, our intention is to
produce a really great event, be with our friends and make some new
ones. I have one important thing to ask of all of you who have been so
gracious and understanding thus far:

In order to consolidate the information we need to give you to you
about this event, we need you to sign up for the mailing list. This is
an announce only list. You should receive about 3-4 emails total from
it, and you can unsubscribe at any time. This list is also the only
place we are going to inform people about how to get to the event on
July 5th. So please... sign up here to get directions to Sequence and
a couple of other event related announcements:

http://eventsequence.com/mailman/listinfo/paulrevere_eventsequence.com

and general info here:

http://eventsequence.com

We have identified the space, and it is 123 miles north of Seattle, in a
stunning mountain location overlooking miles of forest. You should
plan for 2 1/2 hours travel time. Canadians will have a shorter travel time.

Also, we would appreciate help in setup and strike, and we would love
you forever if you would be willing to help us. You can sign up on the
"ill communication" page of the site.

Finally... your friends are our friends! Forward them this link and
get them to sign up for the list. We'd love to have them come to this
event. Dave2
---------------------

So, with the above said, we'df love to have you come to our event. It
is *far* from a simple party, and we have been working for months on
this, and it's our gift to you.

once the event is over, extensive information about performers and
those assisting will be released.

From Rusty:

I am looking for a housemate to share a newly remodeled single story home on
beacon hill at the Stronghold Arts collective.

I am a thirty seven year old industrial artist. I am clean and respectful
and hope to find someone that can share space well. Cleanliness is
important, as is a sense of humor and the ability to communicate
effectively. I would prefer to share the house with a gal rather than guy.
I am generally pretty quiet at home and very loud everywhere else.

A trained outside kitty would be okay.

Rent is generally around 600 a month and includes utilities, and laundry
facilities. The house is located two blocks from a new library and the
future light rail station. It is easy to get to the 36 bus line, I-5 and 99.
It is located walking distance from grocery.

The room is available as of July first.

The house shares a common back yard with the three other Stronghold houses.

Living here is an engaging and social experience. If you are interested in
meeting artists and social architects this would provide you with a unique
opportunity to do so.

We have fires and barbecues frequently in the summer and the house is really
nice.

Please contact Rusty Directly if you have questions,
